Are you an insane business owner?
Let’s define insanity. I’m not calling business owners crazy…though we have to be a little crazy to to what we do.
Insanity means a foolish or senseless action, policy, statement, etc.
We will go with this definition I found on Dictionary.com.
A foolish or senseless action, policy, statement, etc.
See…you can’t hope your marketing works. Change quick when something isn’t working.
You’ll waste time and money when you keep doing a certain type of marketing and it’s not getting you results.
It’s doesn’t make sense.
I wasted time and money the last year trying to make social media work for my business.
Social media worked for me in the past. Most of my sales and leads have come from social media. But for the last year, it hasn’t produced results.
I was posting consistently, but nothing was happening.
No leads. No sales. No customers.
My post reach was about 5-20 people. That’s not enough people seeing my message.
But I kept hoping the algorithm would eventually favor my content.
I tweaked my content. Made it better but nothing still.
I deleted my Instagram page last week. The lack of reach was one reason, but there are more.
It’s going to force me to work on a new plan. Now I still have social media as part of my strategy, but I’m going to work it entirely different. I’m not creating another Instagram page until I know what my Instagram marketing strategy is.
The plan is to use this month to create a totally different approach to Instagram.
See, I was insane. But I’m okay now.
Do not waste time or money on a certain tactic too long without it showing results.
This isn’t smart. This is insane. I’ll post more about my journey and the pivot I’m making.
Until next time.
